2, 5 and 10 Mile Runs from Starbucks LSU

We are taking advantage of a cool coffee spot when LSU is away at Vanderbilt and with an 11:00 game. Parking available across the street at Bernie Moore or Tiger Stadium.
2 Miles -run/walk easy to the Parade Grounds. Loop the Parade Grounds on the sidewalk doing 4 Minute/Minutes using your watch. That means run one minute harder followed by and easy minute walk jog – 4 times.
5 Miles with 2 Miles of Half Marathon pace work – run easy for the first 3 Miles to the water stop at the end of the bike path at Sorority Row. Make a point to pick up the pace for the last 2 Miles. If you have a GPS – check your pace. If you don’t – try to run someone who does. We are trying to get within 20-30 seconds of a goal half marathon pace in January.
10 Miles with 2 x 3 Miles at Marathon Pace(which is slower than half pace that we have been/will be working with). Even if you are only running the Half Marathon – try to determine what a good marathon pace would be if you were to be running one.
Run easy the first 3 Miles to the water stop at the end of the bike path at Sorority Row. Run 3-6 and 7-10 as a Marathon Pace pickup. Water between 6 and 7 at City Park.
