VSBR Group Run: Motorman 5K and One Mile Deputy Dash

The Reserve Deputies and Officers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is coordinating a 5K and 1 mile fun run to benefit Sgt. Bruce Simmons and Cpl. Nicholas Tullier. Both of these men are law enforcement officers who were shot and sustained serious injuries in the line of duty in Baton Rouge on July 17, 2016. They are both assigned as motormen in the Traffic Division at the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Events Include a 1 mile fun run/walk, 5k run/walk, food and fun.
RACE ROUTE: Both races will begin at Zachary High School near Bronco Stadium, and the route will run through Myrtle Hill and East Meadow subdivisions.
T-SHIRTS: Race entries will include a t-shirt. Race entries made after May 5 are not guaranteed a t-shirt on race day. Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $15.
RACE MEDAL: All finishers will receive a custom Motorman 5K finishers medal. Race entries made after May 5 are not guaranteed a finishers medal on race day.
RACE BIBS: Only those who have registered for the race and have a bib will be allowed on the race course. Please provide Emergency Contact Name and Cell Phone Number on the back of bib and wear bib during the entire event.
PARKING: To ensure a good parking spot, arrive early. There will be a large crowd! Parking is available on the Zachary High School property. A limited number of handicap parking spaces are available at the school. Handicap parking will be designated by signage.
RACE-DAY REGISTRATION: Go to the Registration Tent or ask a volunteer for assistance. Registration opens at 7 a.m.
PACKET PICK-UP: Race Day Packet Pick-Up opens at 7 a.m. at the Packet Pick-Up Tent.
