6,8,10 or 12 Mile Cut Down Strength Workout from Main Street Market

It should be cool and nice for a Mississippi River Levee run. This is a tough workout to develop both endurance and strength deep into the run.

6 Miles – for those of you that a solid downtown run but are not quite ready for 8 Miles. Follow the group out to the Levee. Run to flagpoles and back.

8 Miles with 3 Mile Cut Down – This run is for Less Experienced Half Marathoners. Run our regular Main Street Market loop. Run first 5 miles easy/steady. Run the last 3 as a cut down – each mile should be faster than the one before it.

10 Miles with 5 Mile Cut Down – This run is for Experienced Half Marathoners. The  route may be a wee bit long. Run first 5 miles easy/steady. Run the last 5 Miles as a cut down – each mile should be faster than the one before it.

The 10 and 12 milers will run together to the corner of Skip Bertman at Nicholson. 10 milers go straight beside Tiger Stadium.

**you may want to put your water/electrolyte at BR Beach which is halfway and just before the cut down begins.

12 Miles with 6 Mile Cut Down – This run is for Marathoners. Run 6 miles easy/steady. Run the last 6 Miles as a cut down – each mile should be faster than the one before it.

The 10 and 12 milers will run together to the corner of Skip Bertman at Nicholson. 12 milers take a right and head to Gourrier.
