8-16 Miles with Specific Pace Work from St. Aloysius

We are moving the Variable Pace “stuff workout” to November 14th when we will be able to use Catholic High Track. We’ll combine it with a Alabama Tailgate Run.

So flip flopping some training Saturdays….

8 Miles with 2 Miles at Half Marathon pace. Use this a specific pace work. Determine a goal pace ahead of time and try to nail it.

Run the Pace Pick Up from Mile 2-4 with a stop at the top of Kenilworth at the sign. Leave your water there.

10 Miles with 2 x 2 Miles at Half Marathon pace. Use this a specific pace work. Determine a goal pace ahead of time and try to nail it.

The 10 mile takes a quick Stanford Place loop then rejoins our typical Olympia Park loop. 2 Mile Pace Pick Ups from Mile 3-5 and 7-9.

Water at the Kenilworth sign would be a good stop.

16 Miles with 2 x 2 Miles at Half Marathon pace. Use this a specific pace work. Determine a goal pace ahead of time and try to nail it.

Marathoners will do a 6 Mile lakes loop then join the 10 Miler. You may want to come early so you can join the bigger group. Or run the 10 with the group then head out for the extra 6.

Half Marathon Pace Pick Ups from Mile 2-4 in the first loop and 13-15(or 7 to 9 10 Mile Map).
