Coffee Run from Magpie Cafe(longer runs will go through campus)
James and Lina who own Magpie are fantastic community partners. So we need to be very respectful of regular Magpie customers with our parking. DO NOT PARK IN MAGPIE SPOTS. The parking lot behind Moreau PT is good. So far the folks at Parrain’s have not complained about us parking there since we leave before they are open.
Wear your purple and gold or favorite college colors since some of us will be running through campus.
1.3 Miles – easy run to increase the distance
3.5 Miles – easy run to campus edge and back. The circle in front of the Sigma Chi house is the turnaround.
Tempo is a hard but controlled pace that can be run as long intervals or a steady run of 1-10 miles. The purpose of a Tempo Run is to build mental and physical endurance and to become comfortable with being uncomfortable!
5 Miles with 2 x 1 Mile tempo work. Early season tempo work is 15-30 seconds slower than goal Half Marathon pace. Run tempo pace from Mile 2-3 and Mile 4-5.
5 Mile route skips Lake Erie.
9 Miles with 2 x 2 Miles tempo work. Incorporate tempo pace from Miles 2-4 and 5-7
Water/electrolyte stop will be at the LSU Sign at stop light at intersection of W. Parker and South stadium. Mile 3 on 5 Mile and Mile 4 on 9 Mile.
