Shake-out 220’s at Rouzan Circle from Olympia Park
Well we should be winding down our training and starting the taper for Louisiana Marathon weekend. We will not taper and will generally simulate distances we would have run over the next 2 weekends:short this weekend and long the next. Of course, marathoners won’t run 26 but can choose between 20 and 22.
The Wilderness 10 Mile has always been a good indication where everyone is fitness-wise. But the looks of things everyone is right on track and running great.
BUT…we need to go ahead and have a moderate week this week and cycle back up after.
Today we’ll run the familiar route but starting from Olympia Park to change it up.
2-3 Miles to Rouzan Circle – 2 Miles does NOT take the Olympic Park loop. Head straight out to the Pennington Path.
6 x 220 very moderate to shake out the soreness and fatigue. 30 second rest between each. Blinking cones will be out for start and stop.
2 Miles straight back to Olympia Park.
