Sharpening Quarters with Short Recovery at Highland School Circle
Tapering and sharpening is reducing mileage but keep things quick and peppy. The endurance work is done. You want to line up on the finish line feeling fit.
Warm up down Sunset past the playground and back to the school.
The workout is 4-8 x 1/4 with just a short 110 rest. Establish a quick pace for the first quarter. By “quick” – not speedwork pace but quicker than half marathon race pace. Maybe you could use a pace like you would run in the middle quarters of a cut down workout as a guideline.
Try to hit that pace each 1/4 even with the short recovery.
