Let’s celebrate Gabby and Walker’s Brew Ha Ha Birthday. They are long time community partners and we love them!
It’s the first LSU home game. Wear your purple and gold. It won’t be a tailgate run through campus yet,
5K – walk over to Goodwood Park behind Brew Ha Ha. Do one lap of the park as an easy walk or run. The second lap of the park your goal is to pick up the pace. Each lap is 1/2 Mile.
3 Miles Easy Out-and-Back – if you are really just getting started back this might be the option for you. Just cover the distance. The turnaround is Broussard Ave.
4 Miles – 4 miles with 1 mile picking up the pace.
It’s too early to really say “goal half marathon pace” for a lot of you. So use this as a yardstick to see where you are. The effort should be steady but not hard.
The pickup mile will be from Mile 2-3. Jenni will be there to start and stop the timing.
8 Miles – 8 miler with 2 x 1 mile picking up the pace. It’s too early to really say “goal half marathon pace” for a lot of you. So use this as a yardstick to see where you are. The effort should be steady but not hard.
Some you experienced runners(half and marathon) may want to run them at “goal half pace”.
Take the route out and across Acadian.
It’s a little different route by CHS to make the mileage work. Take a look.
When you get back to Hundred Oaks use the old Bishops 5K course as the first mile pickup. Rest the middle mile. Run the last mile of that course as your second pickup. **I will mark the course well with duct tape.
*Regulars help the new peeps with our familiar courses here.
After the run come take a quick look at Walker and Gabby’s new venture next door – The Block workout facility.
